The owners of this home in Bannockburn certainly have an eye for detail. Managing the project themselves, they sought inspiration in the Oakleys Cromwell showroom and a local tile showroom. The results are dramatic and personalised spaces.
The owners say they wanted to achieve a high end look but without the high end budget.
To achieve that they have used a clever use of finishes and textures alongside a considered lighting plan. In the ensuite custom vanities of recycled oak and laminate tops are set against Bella Casa tiles. Concrete Nation basins and brushed nickel tapware complement the earthy tones.
A second bathroom features a white textured tile, with the delicate Super Thin basin adding to the calm and balance.
The striking wallpaper of the powder was initially meant for the second bathroom, but the tile was too beautiful to fight for attention, says one of the owners. Instead, the powder room gained the right to feature the vertically stripped wallpaper, wowing all their guests.
